REI Path Ahead Ventures is an initiative by REI Co-op that provides support to startups founded and led by Black, Indigenous, Latina/o/x, Asian American, and Pacific Islander (BIPOC) people. The program aims to help founders of color succeed in the outdoor industry, where they are estimated to make up only 1% of entrepreneurs, despite making up over 30% of outdoor participants.
